I went to Paris for a two-week hands-on fashion workshop at the Institut Français de la Mode. It felt so good to immerse myself in a new skill for two entire weeks and finally bring more technique to my draping experimentation in my photography work.
As a photographer, I like to have control over different aspects of my creation. And getting my hands into styling and costume design has been part of my interests in recent years. So this summer, I enrolled in a course at IFM Paris.
In times of AI, it’s been a breath of fresh air to use my hands to learn a new skill.
These are some of my experiments, including a dress that I made from scratch, with the bottom part completely handmade.

I was also able to enjoy one of the most culturally vibrant cities in the world. As an artist, it’s so important to expand your craft and your view on life. I’m certainly coming back home with my baggage a little bit heavier.
Right below, I’m showing some of my favorite pictures taken during my numerous walks there. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them!
