How the Artistic Portrait Photo Shooting with Elisa Was Created

Beautiful, today I want to take you behind the scenes of one of the most special Muse Experiences I’ve created this year. Get ready for a journey to Brumadinho, Brazil, the setting of this artistic portrait photo shooting — a feminine, emotional, and deeply personalized session held at Elisa’s countryside home.

Elisa is a long-time muse who has shared several transformative experiences with me in the studio. And while I’ve spent the past 16 years photographing real women in carefully designed indoor environments, every once in a while I make an exception — especially for muses who hold a special place in my heart.

This time, the reason was even more symbolic: a farewell session with Elisa before my move to Switzerland.

And the result? Absolutely magical.

An Artistic Portrait Photo Shooting That Celebrates Connection and New Cycles

Elisa is a creative, sensitive, and deeply expressive woman. Over the years, we’ve explored various visual concepts together — from dramatic editorials to sessions inspired by Renaissance art.

For this new artistic portrait photo shooting, she challenged me once again: to create something that combined the ordinary with the poetic, drawing inspiration from cinematic imagery and a touch of my signature artistic style.

That blend of reality and art is exactly what makes every Muse Experience so unique — a living collaboration between photographer and woman.

Creating Art at Home: The Beginning of the Muse Experience

We began the session in Elisa’s kitchen — a warm, rustic space filled with elements that tell her story. The wood-burning stove, a tray of fruits and vegetables, and a glass of wine became part of the visual narrative — symbols of a simple, authentic life full of meaning.

I played with natural light and flash to build an editorial and cinematic atmosphere, exploring the contrast between shadow and glow.

Each frame was carefully crafted to capture not only beauty, but also the emotion behind every gesture and glance.

Among Flowers, Animals, and Nature: The Heart of the Artistic Portrait Photo Shooting

Still at home, we photographed spontaneous moments with her farm animals, as well as the flowers and fruits she cultivates herself.

These scenes were filled with softness and connection — a true celebration of a woman’s relationship with nature.

It was, without a doubt, one of my favorite parts of the shooting. Elisa’s energy, surrounded by her own universe, made everything flow in a natural and poetic rhythm.

Light, Movement, and My Artistic Signature

We then moved outdoors, to a lettuce field bathed in the golden sunlight of Brumadinho, Brazil.

There, I worked with the vibrant natural light and dynamic movement — two elements that have become part of my artistic signature.

The result was a collection of portraits that feel both real and dreamlike, balancing strength and delicacy in perfect harmony.

A Symbolic and Meaningful Ending

This artistic portrait photo shooting with Elisa was much more than a photo session — it was a celebration of art, friendship, and life’s continuous cycles.

Creating something so personal was my way of signing a meaningful chapter before beginning a new international journey.

Each image holds the symbolism of change, belonging, and transformation — emotions that define not only this project but also the essence of my work as a photographer of women.
