Have you ever imagined spending an entire weekend dedicated to female photography, with hands-on practice and complete behind-the-scenes access?
That’s exactly what happened during Lights, Camera, Action — the first and only in-person photography workshop I hosted at my studio in Belo Horizonte.
After 16 years dedicated to feminine portrait photography — and with my upcoming fully move to Switzerland in 2026 — I decided to open my studio doors to welcome photographers from all over Brazil for a weekend of creative learning and artistic growth.

The course took place on June 28th and 29th, offering a complete practical immersion in the process of creating a transformative photography experience — from concept to final images.
Now, let me take you behind the scenes of each day of this unforgettable immersion.
Day 1 of the Photography Workshop: Creation, Production, and Direction
The first day of the workshop was entirely focused on producing a real photo session.
I shared with the participants all the key pillars that make a photography experience memorable and transformative:
- Styling & Visual Consultancy: how to identify each woman’s personal references, style, and essence.
- Studio Wardrobe & Accessories: insights into how I curate my exclusive collection, exploring textures, fits, and artistic combinations.
- Set Design & Storytelling: creating scenes that translate emotions and stories into images with authenticity and artistic direction.
- Natural & Studio Lighting: understanding how to shape light with intention to evoke different atmospheres and moods.

We ended the day with a live session featuring model Micha, where the photographers observed my full directing process — from poses and angles to emotional connection. This hands-on experience allowed them to see how I apply my signature method of directing real women in front of the camera.rabalho.

Day 2 of the Photography Workshop: Editing, Post-Production, and Portrait Exchange Between Photographers

The second day was dedicated to post-production and editing — a crucial step to consolidate artistic vision and personal style in feminine portrait photography.
We explored advanced techniques for skin retouching, lighting, color balance, and composition, while preserving the natural beauty and authenticity of the women photographed.

Then came one of the most inspiring parts of the workshop: a portrait exchange session between the participants.
Each photographer had the chance to photograph and be photographed — an empowering experience that helped them understand both sides of the camera and create professional portraits for their portfolios and social media.

Exclusive Studio Tour – A Bonus for “Metamorphosis” Mentorship Students

As a special part of the immersion, I offered an exclusive guided studio tour for some of my mentees from the Metamorphosis Program. A bonus also earned by the first workshop buyers.
During this moment, I presented every detail of my creative space — from equipment choices and lighting setups to workflow organization and behind-the-scenes logistics.
The goal was to provide inspiration and practical insights into how a professional female photography studio is structured — combining technique, care, and purpose.

More Than a Photography Workshop — A Transformative Experience
Ultimately, Immersion: Lights, Camera, Action was much more than a workshop.
It was a meeting of creative women who believe in the power of photography as a tool for transformation and self-knowledge.
Each conversation, photo, and shared insight reinforced what I’ve always believed — that photographing women is an act of connection and empathy, and that the sensitive gaze of the photographer is what truly brings an image to life.
Ending this immersion was a milestone in my artistic journey — especially during this moment of transition to an international career. Seeing so many photographers leave inspired, confident, and technically stronger is the greatest reward I could ask for.
