If you are not familiar with it, the Legends of Lake Lucerne is an amazing 5-star cruise around one of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland, the Vierwaldstättersee, or as it is popularly known, Lake Lucerne.
We were welcomed onboard the Gallia, an elegant steamboat sailing since 1913, with great service and delicious prosecco.
Throughout a five-course meal and wine tasting, we were taken care of by the most gentle and thoughtful crew. They made sure we were always happy and our glasses were full.
The entire experience lasts 5 amazing hours, but it feels like a breeze, and you don’t even notice the time passing.
A very impressive aspect of the service was having a full-time chef onboard who prepared all of our meals with fresh, seasonal ingredients, some of them even sourced directly from around Lucerne.
As if the great views of Vierwaldstättersee / Lake Lucerne were not amazing enough, the perfect vibes were complemented by exclusive history lessons about the boat and the lake’s surroundings, featuring the historic figure Casimir Friederich Knörr, turning an already exclusive boat ride into a profound and meaningful experience.
Nature, art, gastronomy, history, and tourism go hand in hand on this luxurious cruise.
