There’s something truly special about capturing the bond between a mother and daughter — and this photoshoot in historic Zurich with Thais and her mother Elizabeth was the perfect example of that.
Elizabeth was visiting Switzerland in Spring, and Thais wanted to gift her something meaningful for Mother’s Day: a timeless experience they could share together.
So, she chose to surprise her mom with a mother-daughter photoshoot in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town.
A Stroll Through Zurich’s Historic Center
Our afternoon began in the charming Opernhaus, near Lake Zurich, so they could warm up to the photoshoot experience.
The idea was to keep everything light and natural — genuine smiles, affectionate gestures, and small moments that tell a bigger story of love and connection.
In the cobblestone streets of historic Zurich, we are surrounded by centuries-old buildings and the calm rhythm of the city. So, we walked through hidden alleys and scenic spots along the Limmat River, stopping often to capture spontaneous moments between the two.
We took time for some pictures on the Münsterbrücke, using Fraumünster as our backdrop. A classic view!
More Than a Photoshoot — A Shared Experience
This photoshoot in historic Zurich wasn’t just about creating beautiful portraits. It was about spending quality time together, celebrating their relationship, and creating memories they can relive every time they look at the photos.
Both Thais and Elizabeth were radiant — laughing, reminiscing, and fully embracing the experience. Their warmth and authenticity made every image feel effortless and full of life.
Exploring Zurich was part of the Photoshoot
As a photographer in Zurich, I feel incredibly grateful for opportunities like this. Exploring the city’s historic areas has allowed me to see Zurich from a new perspective — beyond the walls of the studio.
This also allow my clients to experience the city while we shoot. It’s a new way of visiting a place, with the plus of having beautiful pictures to remember it.
I’m deeply in love with the city aesthetic, and so does Thais. So we made a feel pictures featuring the Tram and other elements around, along the lines that goes between Bellevue and Stadelhofen.

It truly was an unforgettable day spent with two amazing women, exploring iconic landmarks and soaking in the beauty of the city. Every corner of historic Zurich offered a new backdrop, and every photo reflected the deep connection between mother and daughter.
For me, as a photographer in Zurich, moments like these are what make my work so fulfilling — transforming simple walks into lifelong memories through the art of photography.
We finished our afternoon together with some portraits facing Lake Zurich, surrounded by nature. It’s incridible for me how Zurich offers both architectural and natural locations with a walk distance.
